Obstacles Collaboration

It’s been a while since we’ve done a collaboration on this blog, but I always love getting everyone’s mind working together on something.  In this case, I was inspired by a commentSingle_obstacles1_2 from Chuck Larner who came up with the name "Mediocrates" for one of Obstacle’s friends.  I responded back that "Ida" would be the name for his girlfriend, as in "If Only Ida," and she would be known as the Queen of Regret (someone gave me this idea in passing during the weekend, but I don’t remember who (ps: this is the chance to claim it, you know who you are)).

I wonder what other partners-in-achievement-destruction the creative minds of the readers of this blog can come up with?  Certainly Obstacles doesn’t work alone!

Who are his helpers?

    A common cohort would be comfortableez.
    You have often reminded us, Chris, that “until the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change”, we will not move out of our comfort zone

    Hurdicles is the cousin that is predictable and evenly spaced, no bar of expectation of higher standards are expected each time you run against him. He is the status quo of survivalism that most have set their stride i.e.(pay my taxes, go to disney, buying my toys).
    These are the so called obstacles that society thinks they were made for. The appearence of struggle in order to justify instant gratification and an ever lasting facade of busy-ness.
    Hurdicles is graphed as a slowly, slightly undulating line on the horizon of life.
    If this sounds like a good partner for Obstacles you can reach him at the local sports bar seat #14.
