“Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution, no law . . . no court can save it . . . The spirit of libert is the spirit which is not too sure that it is right: the spirit of liberty is the spirit which seeks to understand the minds of other men and women.” – Learned Hand

Awesome! I’ve added them to my collection. I’d like to share these:
Rest in Peace- you will not be forgotten. “When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us & Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today.” unknown
“Never in the field of human endeavor have so many owed so much to so few.” Winston Churchill
“As the sun goes down, we shall honor & remember them.” Thomas Jefferson

I have to apologize for the second post, I don’t know how I overlooked R. Regan.
“It is, in a way, an odd thing to honor those who died in defense of our country, in defense of us, in wars far away. The imagination plays a trick. We see these soldiers in our mind as old and wise. We see them as something like the Founding Fathers, grave and gray-haired. But most of them were boys when they died, and they gave up two lives, the one they were living and the one they would have lived. When they died, they gave up their chance to be husbands and fathers and grandfathers. They gave up their chance to be revered old men. They gave up everything for our country, for us. And all we can do is remember.” Ronald Reagan

PLAN your test of Freedom and Liberty and what it means to you.
DO nothing and watch it disappear.
CHECK those that are taking it away and let it be known.
ADJUST the thinking of those that don’t care and give praise to those that do.

“Bondage with ease” in the last quote by Milton.
So true and so easily seen today. Sit on the couch, watch tv, go to your job, let the rules of the country change as they do, but as soon as the status quo in these people’s lives changes……there’s no way out.

    Chris,
This seemed like the best place to put this. I want to suggest to people they pick up the April issue of “Reader’s Digest” magazine, which is out on news stands now. My mother gives it to us as a gift subscription every year (she does for all 5 of her kids), and I picked it up to read it last night.
There was an article in it that fit very well into this subject. It is the stories of 7 people who came to the U.S. to escape chaos, persecution and death in their homelands. Each of them has made something good of their lives. One of them, who came from Iran after the Shah was overthrown, was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps Medal for Valor for his actions at the Pentagon on 9/11.
You can read their stories at http://www.rd.com/your-america-inspiring-people-and-stories/how-7-people-found-hope-and-refuge-in-america/article122315.html.
The rest of the magazine has lots of good stuff this month, too . . .

    Chris,
Here is also a quotes I like:
“Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed – else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die.” ~Dwight D. Eisenhower
    Thanks for the quotes!

I could not help but notice how much the Washington area has grown with the expansion of government this most recent time down (Oct 09) with more and more new apartments, condos, and traffic!!! In contrast to much of the rest of the country where places are being abandoned because there are no jobs etc etc.
I cannot help but think what is going to happen when the deficit and national debt explode and suddenly it becomes obvious we can’t support more and more government but will have to make drastic cuts to avoid default. Such activities like MonaVie and information technology bring in cash and prosperity along with making things better for all of us in contrast to government which appears to be getting more and more burdonsome on EVERYONE!!!
