Writing the English language is risky business. I enjoy the little misconstructions people inadvertingly make. These are funny because error is often invisible to the author. Here are some actual misconstructions made by students:

1. The President of the United States, in having foreign affairs, has to have the consent of the Senate.

2. The difference between a king and a president is that a king is the son of his father, but a president isn't.

3. A fossil is an extinct animal. The older it is, the more extinct it is.Laughing

4. To be a good nurse you must be absolutely sterile.

5. When you breath you inspire. When you do not breath you expire.

6. Heredity means that if your grandfather didn't have any children, then your father probably wouldn't have any, and neither would you, probably.

7. Last year many lives were caused by accidents.

8. The Greeks were a highly sculptured people, and without them we wouldn't have history.

9. The Greeks invented three kinds of columns – Corinthian, Ironic, and Dork.

10. In the Olympic Games, Greeks ran races, jumped, hurled the biscuits, and threw the Java.

(and my personal favorite):

11. The government of Athens was Democratic because people took the law into their own hands.

    Chris,
I really like your three train wreck CD and also the one about creating a comfort zone and live outside it so you don’t stop doing the things you did to create it.
I love those cool things you say like -you dont know what you don’t know, and not knowing how would you ever know that there might be a thing to know that would help you get to a place that you didnt know existed., you know what I mean?

I like the one about “infidelity”. You know, the inability to have children. Good times.

To have vision, is to have a powerfull dream.
Not to have vision, is not being able to see.

Someone sent me this video recently and I couldn’t stop laughing…it’s amazing how ungrateful people are in this day in age.
