They were raised during the Great Depression and were therefore hardened by struggle and want. When the world needed them to intervene to help stop Fascism they were ready and able, tough enough and of sufficient character to pass the test. Some have taken to calling them the "Greatest Generation." From everything I can tell, they have earned the name.

Chris, your insight is incredible!
That’s why the million person march is intact and moving forward. Like yourself and many others….I REFUSE TO LOSE! Time to ruffle some feathers and awaken a nation! Thanks for your commitment to a cause that is so worthy and so vital! God bless
you! Gary S.LikeLike

Brilliant Chris! Unfortunately so many will look at this and not comprehend the severity of the acts that are being carried out in our public forum. It is not our right, but our responsibility as Americans to help save the prosperity of our country!
God speed.

Great Post! I found it interesting that you posted a quote from Sage Francis. I didn’t see you as a hip-hop fan. The corporate watch site that he supports is very interesting!
Coming from Generation Y, I’m quite ashamed at the mindset of so many people I grew up with. A few of us are working on trying to change the label of “trophy kids” that society has put on us, while many more are trying to live up to it. We will make a difference!LikeLike

Yes, you are right to point out the historical significance of the National cycle we are in. And in looking further back into history we are at that pinnacle of time where a civilization may by default and pride and arrogance succumb to the tragic ending it deserved as a nation. Judgement always is upon a nation in spite of the few righteous. Only, we have the tremendous benefit of that hindsite. Because we serve an amazing God that in spite of the judgement due a nation – He will seek out the righteous in all the land. It is my hope, it is my hope for the future of my children…that if we would humble ourselves and pray, our Father in Heaven will hear our cries and come and heal our land. So, I think a million voices raised in pursuit of righteousness as a way of life at home and in the marketplace will be heard, and loudly heard! And if He returns today, I do not want to be found standing – doing nothing as the water rises…

Chris,
As a card-carrying member of the Baby Boomers (thus, the group that lived Vietnam and so on), I am ashamed at the reprehensible behavior of the fellow members of my generation. I am proud to stand with you to bring back what our forefathers won for us that we are now so casually throwing away.
Jean-Paul Sarte said, “Once the idea of freedom has birthed itself in the mind of man, even the gods themselves cannot remove it.”
Keep talking, Chris. You’re saying good stuff about freedom my generation and those who have come after us in Gen’s X and Y need to hear. Some of us are listening. The more you talk, the more of us that will.LikeLike

Much like the nation of Israel who lost their focus in just one generation. We need to always be vigilant and teach properly, not from the hip or from convenience.
