“Bob and Lois have created the title for their new book. Now if they could just find a story to go with the title…”

Chris,
Your photo prompted a memory. When our kids were small, and wanted to buy something or do something, sometimes I would have to tell them we didn’t have the money to buy or do that.
We had a small convenience store down the street from our home at the time, and the children saw both my husband and I go in there occasionally to use the ATM to withdraw some money from our checking account. They didn’t realize the ATM was one from our own bank, which was why we could willingly use it when we had the need, and not the others scattered around.
So, when I would tell the kids we “didn’t have enough money” to buy or do whatever, I would invariably get the question, “So, WHY DON’T YOU GO TO THE MONEY MACHINE at the convenience store AND GET SOME, Mom?? THEY HAVE MONEY!!”
A discussion would then follow about how the money got there. I don’t think they understood most of it until they got their own jobs and accounts several years later, as teenagers.
Your picture reminds me of this: a large part of of our country is on one great big quest to get Mom to go to the money machine, with virtually no recognition somebody’s gotta eventually pay for this somehow . . .LikeLike

Oh my gosh!
That is priceless.
I would like to see a balance sheet and an income statement with only the tax dollars they take in from all of us.LikeLike

I wonder how the socialists would argue this little piece of common sense.

Such a true question too. It’s funny too, whenever they talk about the national debt on the news or anything of the sort, they always show new money being printed.

Simple answer. If we stop paying taxes, that would mean that congress would have to admit that inflation is what is feeding their programs and that taxes are simply there to promote class warfare and to get votes.
