US-FederalReserveSystem-Seal.svg I have contributed many posts on this blog detailing the perplexing operation of the fiat money system propagated by the Federal Reserve System in the United States. Incredibly, president Obama is now proposing even more power to the Fed! I don't agree or endorse everything Congressman Ron Paul says, but his comments in this video concerning this proposed expansion of control for the Fed are clear, candid, and correct. It is extremely important that We the People awaken to the dangersous waters in which we are swirling. Being informed is the first step to righting the ship. Please share this and other posts, as well as those on Orrin Woodward's blog, with anyone you can. The truth can make a difference!

    Chris,
Thanks for putting up this video. This is not a Republican or a Democrat Issue it’s an American Issue. The Fed created problems in our country more than you can imagine. As ron paul states in the video there is no way the government can see what the FED is spending money on.
If anyone is interested in HR 1207 and S 604(identical bill but to Senate ; Bernie Sanders has introduced this one). Please make sure your representatives are co-sponsoring this bill.
    HR 1207 link : http://bit.ly/EPI2K

    S 604 : http://bit.ly/Gg9eE
Tks again Chris ; information alone is not power but information implemented is power.

Hmm. I’m curious to know which positions you don’t agree with him on? Please do tell. My only guess is either you disagree with his noninterventionist foreign policy and therefore you support pre emptive wars or you disagree with him opposing the nanny state where government controls what people put in their bodies and they do in their bedrooms. I say that because you obviously agree with his monetary policy so there is not much left. Really, please do share.
    Thanks

Another thing I thought of is why didn’t you say you didn’t agree or endorse everything Congressman Bob Mcewen said?

    Obama is a problem.
    Obama IS a serious problem.
Obama IS a domestic ENEMY of the U.S. Constitution as well as every NORMAL citizen (non-special interest or alternative lifestyle/gender weirdo).

    g.a.b.,
Substitute “The Federal Reserve” for “Obama” in your comments, and you’ve about nailed it. President Obama is not the ultimate problem in this particular case. The Federal Reserve system is the ultimate problem.
Christians are called in Scriptures to honor our leaders and pray for them, even when we don’t agree with them, and even when we are persecuted by them. Therefore, I pray for President Obama. Perhaps not as he would want, for I pray that his eyes be opened to the truths of what God really says in His Word about the President’s policies and agenda. Yet, I do pray.
The Federal Reserve gets no prayers of mine, save for the salvation of its members. It’s no leader of mine . . . And, I suspect, not yours, either . . . Personally, I’d rather reserve that honor to Chris, Orrin and the rest of the Team’s leaders!

I have not been able to sign onto Ron Paul’s Libertarian idea of legalizing marijuana. He may be right in his view, but it is shared by Johnny Depp and most of the rest of Hollywood. That alone is reason enough to oppose it!

    Mr. Brady,
I have to tell you how much I appreciate you taking the time to respond to me! Also, to be so honest too! Oh and just because someone who lives a way we don’t agree with (Johny Depp) happens to agree with another person on a particular position is not a reason to not inform yourself. But to prove my point, Obama agrees with you on keeping marijuana illegal!
I use to feel that way too until I really really read the Constitution. Our rights come from God, not government and yes that even means the right to sin. Do I believe marijuana is a sin, I really don’t know. I look at my sister who has at the age of 21 already had 2 open back surgeries to put in rods (the first set broke after a couple of years) for her disease. The doctors have given her prescriptions starting low like hydrocodone and as you know there is a tolerance that builds up and she is now on oxycotton!! This is a serious drug that has a huge black market but everyone thinks its okay because it comes from a prescription. I have seen my sister spaz out just like the druggies you see on TV and I have seen her life start to slip down the tubes thanks to this drug. On the other hand, she tried marijuana and she didn’t spaz out and it eased her pain to the point where she stopped the oxycotton. There are more stories like this one but the bottom line is that Government who is immoral by its very nature doesn’t even have the authority (it’s not even in the Constitution like even congress had enough sense to do during alcohol prohibition) and our right to sin (free will) comes from God and not man. Oh yeah, my sister is now back on oxycotton and completely off pot because she got busted and spent time in jail and is on probation for a nonviolent crime! Every job interview she has gone on she’s had to tell them she’s on probation for a drug offense!
Please, I urge you to really pay close attention to Dr. Paul’s opinion on this matter. He has made it clear that he opposes all drugs including alcohol which he says has been proven to be much worse (there hasn’t been one case were somebody died from marijuana) yet it’s legal. Someone asked him if he’s ever even tried it and he said that he has not. He has also said that as a Physician he also absolutely knows that cigarettes are worse than pot could ever be and yet it’s legal?! Your mentor (Orrin) first encouraged me to read Ron Paul’s Revolution book and it totally opened my eyes!
He’s not some crack pot who wants anarchy. He is a Christian (Baptist like us), he’s been married for over 50 years and all his 5 kids are very successful and his oldest is currently running for the U.S. Senate seat in Kentucky and he’s a Physician also too! I feel that we need to support these types of candidates (liberty loving) with our money and by spreading the word about them! I don’t believe that congress is our only hope but I do believe that they are a big part of restoring freedom to this country!
Here is a Doctor who is a Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry who is talking about the drug wars. Now, I don’t agree with him on much else but this really was interesting information. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mojxtnm3fA4
Here is Milton Freidman talking about the drug wars. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oyystXOfDqo
Here’s Ron Paul talking about it too! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4Br2uIpzy4

    “Cathy”,
I disagree. I am NOT called to “Honor” a thug politician, who obliterates Contract Law & the Rule of Law and, literally, calls the bond-holders who object to his illegal tactics “terrorists”.
Obama is BAD news. I’ll pray for him only in that it “heaps burning coals upon his head”…

    Proverbs 25:21-22
21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.
22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

I do agree that they are not diagnosing the problem, and I am all for the transparency. I think an audit of the FED should be conducted.
