Click on this photo to alleviate all your fears about the proposed National Health Care Plan being rammed through Congress. One glance and you will see that brilliant minds have been at work on this to produce for us the most simple, obvious, and soon-to-be most well-run government program in the history of bureaucracy. I feel safer already.

Hi Chris, I was feeling ok until I looked at the chart…kind of makes me wooozy. Seriously, I read a great article on the idea of looking at something that is working that could be used as a model for our National Healthcare plan. Here is the article http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/08/health_care_reform_that_actual.html. The writer looks at what Texas has done to decrease the cost of being a doctor which provides an incentive to practice medicine even in poor areas of the state which is increasing the level of medical care for everyone while the cost goes down…wow somebody should invent a system that provides competition, incentives, and rewards for doing business and they could call it capitalism!

You have GOT to be kidding me… looks to me more like a scramble chart. For the first few moments, I thought it was supposed to be a joke and was trying to find the punch line somewhere in there…

Wow, thought I was enlightened when we left Michigan after talking with some leaders, but this raised the bar for sure. It is scary to think of the world our children will be left with if, as Orrin stated on his blog, leaders do not step up! I think I saw something that looked like this when I was working for GM.

It reminds me of an electrical schematic, more so than a flow chart. So, I decided to look up what I thought was a fairly complicated schematic of a new hybrid vehicle’s starting circuit. I was mistaken, the health care flow chart is significantly more complicated!

Wow.
I hear the first line we’ll all have to stand in is just for the truncated explanation of how the whole mess works.
And, after the explanatory jibberish gives you a headache…
…that’ll mean a ANOTHER line (to approve the aspirin)!
;-]LikeLike

Chris,
My first thought was you were showing us a diagram of a circuit board . . .
My second thought was this — Why shouldn’t it be all convoluted, screwed up and messed up?? When the government does anything, they do it with more complications, greater expense and higher levels of red tape than free enterprise ever dreamed!!!
It doesn’t shock or startle me in the least. What disappoints me is that the American people are swallowing it, hook, line and sinker . . .LikeLike

Chris,
I got the following in an email from a friend. It’s meant to be tongue-in-cheek, though given the current situation, it’s also scarily true! Enjoy!!Democrats, realizing the “success” of the President’s “Cash For Clunkers” rebate program, have revamped a major portion of their National Health Care Plan.
President Obama, Speaker Pelosi, and Sen. Reed are expected to make this major announcement at a joint news conference later this week. I have obtained an advanced copy of the proposal which is named…. “CASH FOR CODGERS”
“CASH FOR CODGERS” works like this… couples wishing to access health care funds in order to pay for the delivery of a child will be required to turn in one old person. The amount the government grants them will be determined on a sliding scale with older and more prescription dependent codgers garnering the highest amounts.
Special “Bonuses” will be paid for those submitting codgers in targeted groups such as; smokers, alcohol drinkers, persons 10 pounds over their government prescribed weight, and any member of the Republican Party.
Smaller bonuses will be given for codgers who consume beef, soda, fried foods, potato chips, lattes, whole milk, dairy products, bacon, Brussel sprouts, or Girl Scout Cookies.
All codgers will be rendered totally useless via toxic injection. This will insure that they are not secretly resold or their body parts harvested to keep other codgers in repair.LikeLike

Chris:
No wonder things are in such a mess. They can’t even figure out their own chart.LikeLike

This “flowchart” is a joke…right?!

Wow this chart is so complex. I don’t understand it at all. I wonder if any of the politicians who formed this health care plan do either. It is like the stimulus package again where they are trying to pass something that doesn’t solve any of the problems and just makes government larger.

Ahhhhh, seeing it that way it all makes so much more sense now! I don’t know why I was making it so difficult before! /:-{

Howdy Chris, This subject on the Blog is great. I haven’t had so much laughter in a long time. I sure hope those people that laugh a lot will have shorter lines.
But seriously government can’t solve health care. Government created a government run postal service and the private companies are beating them hand over foot. Government created a railroad and it constantly needs more taxpayer funding. Gov’t created Fannie Mae, Mac, and all of those and it created the financial mess that we are in. Do I want more government. Absolutely Not
What we need in this world is not cheaper healthcare, but more individual accountability. We as individuals have to be accountable for what we eat, how much we exercise, and preventive maintaince of our bodies.
I love your blog it keeps me laughing.

Chris,
I looked at this flow chart and I couldn’t find the liquor store. Do you think I can get that added in commitee? I’ll call my senator.
Just kidding.

Chris,
“Physician quality Reporting Initiative” and “National Priorities for Performance Improvement” makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
Thanks for the health care road map!
