From the time I was little I was taught that "America is the freeist country in the world." It may have been true then, but simply repeating what our parents told us and expecting it to be true is the height of ignorance.  America will only be free if WE the PEOPLE keep her free.

Just check out these multiple lists, assembled by completely unrelated sources, all categorizing countries according to their varying levels of freedom. Notice that while none of them agree on the exact order of things, NONE of them have the United States at the top.

Of course, how the United States ranks compared to other countries is not the correct measure. What is more important is the actual amount of freedom experienced by her people. But these lists illustrate an important point that we have slipped a long ways and are likely to continue slipping if we don't awake from our complacent slumber.

Howdy Chris, Thanks for the websites. They may not agree with each other, but they all agree that we are headed in the wrong direction. Does the number of regulations a country has on it people inhibit freedom?

    Chris,
We should not allow anyone to take our freedom away. I spent half of my life (26 yrs) in a country with totalitarian system. Then I escaped and came to America for freedom just to see it being taken away one small piece at a time. The sad part is most people do not even see it. I cannot even imagine how fast the heroes who put their life on the line for our freedom are spinning in their graves seeing this happen. Good bless them. God bless America. God bless FREEDOM.

    Hi Chris:
    Thanks for posting these websites.
After reviewing these sites, reading Chris and Orrin’s book, Leadership and Liberty will get your heart racing. The last chapter, Cycle of Democracy, and toward the very end of that chapter, as Orrin and Chris say, they shared this to awaken our consiences to the choices that face us.
    God Bless.

    Chris,
Since the US is ranked lower than the top countries, does that lead one to question if the US is the best country to live in?
    Thanks,
    John
