I waqs at a meeting where a phone was ringing in a ladies purse and she was looking around to see who the idiot was who left their phone on. She was quite upset until she realized that it was her husbands phone that she had put into her purse because he was on stage speaking. Quite an embarassing moment but with time became humorous

Guilty as charged. For the record, though, I do not carry a purse.

Chris,
I do make it a point to carefully mute or turn off my cell phone before meetings. I also do it before work, and leave it that way for the work week. I did forget one time on a Monday before work, and got a frown from my boss when my phone sounded off with one of your Tweets!
One time when mine was off, my husband forgot to mute his, and someone called in the middle of a meeting, when the speaker was making a significant point. My husband juggled the phone off his belt just like what you were showing!! I think we made more of a fuss trying to get to the thing than the ringing did!!
He finally found and hit the “ignore” button, then muted it and turned the offending thing off. There was more embarrassment than anything else, and the message left by the caller was of something completely insignificant to us, totally out of proportion to the commotion involved with it.LikeLike
